    Succession Planning: A Success Story

    Transferring a business can be a very complex, timely, costly, and just plain old exhausting process. For those that have never been a part of it, or those that have and want to learn more, this program is for you.

    Father and Son team, Dr. Bart Basi and Roman Basi will not only present the necessary steps to create a Succession Plan, but for the first time, they will share their Succession Plan and how they successfully transitioned their companies to the next generation while preserving the value and also accommodating their estate planning for other non-involved family members.

    Understanding the first step of valuing/appraising a company, and then preparing the company for the transition, and the next step of negotiating the terms of the transaction are all just the beginning. From there the program will progress to the aspects that cover due diligence and tax planning and analysis and preparation of the final documents, closing deliveries, schedules, etc. And then the final piece of the post-closing needs of the company and the potential claims and issues that can pop up after a Succession Plan is completed.
