Who is Valencia College?

Valencia’s Accelerated Skills Training programs were established to close the skills gap with local employers and uplift people within the Central Florida community. Prior to and through this pandemic, skilled trade professionals are retiring at staggering rates. This drain of talent leaves our employers without trained employees to operate their businesses. Valencia College is dedicated to uplifting people in their community from low wage positions and provide them with a future for a family sustainable wage. Valencia specifically targets unemployed, underemployed, women, non-traditional roles, and veterans returning from service.

In partnership with MHEDA, MSSC, and Local Employers, Valencia College will be launching the first Certified Forklift Technician program in the state of Florida this spring. The goal is to hold 4 of these programs per year producing 48 certified technicians ready to go to work.

Join us on April 27 between 11 am-1 pm to tour the facility and network with up and coming forklift technicians.
