Workplace Harassment: What Should Employers Do Now?, Presented by Todd Hayden, Partner at Robbins Schwartz
With all of the recent high profile cases, the “MeToo” hashtag on social media and the rise in claims before administrative agencies, now more than ever, employers need to make sure that they are training their employees in the prevention of sexual harassment and what to do if a claim is brought against another employee. What can an employer do to make sure its policy for anti-harassment is followed and understood? How can a training program be put in place to convey this message to their employees? What topics should be covered in this training? How can employers create an environment that is conducive to avoiding harassment, yet, encouraging employees to come forward in the event something happens?
What you will learn:
- Receive a sample policy with regard to anti-harassment
- Learn how to present an effective anti-harassment program
- Discuss bystander intervention and how to incorporate it into their programs
- Meet the goal of creating an atmosphere of respect and civility in their workplace
