Vision Statement

The vision of the Most Valuable Partner designation is to recognize those distributors who have achieved, through documented processes, performance excellence in customer service, supplier relationships, employee training and community involvement.  These distributors deliver a superior customer service experience to the end user.


What is the MVP Program?

The MVP (Most Valuable Partner) Award is a program exclusively for MHEDA Distributor Members that helps them brand and recognize performance excellence to these important stakeholders:




Distributors who attain MVP status have demonstrated their commitment to business excellence, professionalism and good stewardship.

When applying or re-applying for the annual award, companies must provide documentation that shows their commitment to excellence in the following key areas:

Industry Relations – working for the good of the industry

Customer Relations – demonstrating ethical and superior business practices

Peer-to-Peer Networking – providing innovative solutions by learning from the best in the industry and building a reputation as innovative thinkers

Training – well trained employees are an investment in success

Best Practices –experience is often the best teacher and MHEDA provides many avenues to benchmark and compare with the best in the business.

How Is MVP Status Recognized?

Recognition is an important component of the MVP program!

* Announcements are printed in MHEDA publications and sent to industry press.

* Ads listing all current MVPs are also produced annually and featured in various industry publications.

* Your company will receive a press release for you to personalize and send to your local press.

* MHEDA will send an announcement of your MVP Status to up to ten (10) of your customers*.

At The Annual Convention:

An announcement is made during the Business Meeting,

MVP ribbons are given to all in attendance from an MVP company,

A large sign listing MVP companies is prominently displayed.

MVP companies are listed as such on the MHEDA website with a link to their website.

* MVP companies are provided with MVP logo lapel pins for any employee.

* MVP logo stickers are provided for service vehicles, equipment, etc.

* The MVP logo is made available to MVP companies for use on their website, in customer proposals, on letterhead, on business cards, within marketing materials --- The logo is your “brand of excellence!”


MVP status is awarded annually based on documented performance and actives in the previous year. Members are encouraged to view the MVP Application in the beginning of each year so you can track your progress toward MVP Status; however applications are generally accepted in the second half of the year.

Eligibility Requirements

Member in good standing

Minimum of three (3) employees enrolled in MHEDA communications

One letter of recommendation from a customer*

One letter of recommendation from a MHEDA member supplier

Meet minimum requirements in each of the following:

Industry Relations

Customer Relations

Peer-to-Peer Networking
