MHEDA Announces Opening of the 2026 Distributor Statistical Comparison (DSC) Survey

[Wauconda, IL] — The Material Handling Equipment Distributors Association (MHEDA) has opened the 2026 Distributor Statistical Comparison (DSC) Survey, a financial benchmarking study designed to help companies understand how their performance compares across the material handling industry.

The DSC Survey analyzes key metrics such as sales growth, gross margin, operating expenses, inventory turnover, and accounts receivable performance. The final report groups participating companies by size, line of business, and geographic region so members can benchmark their results against similar organizations.

Participants receive a customized report that includes a PDF summary and an interactive Excel dashboard, making it easy to explore and analyze their company’s data.

All survey responses remain strictly confidential. Data is collected and managed exclusively by Mackay Research Group, an independent research firm specializing in profitability and compensation studies for trade associations. Individual company data is never shared, and all results are reported only in aggregate.

The 2026 DSC Survey is open from March 16 – May 15. To learn more or participate, visit: https://www.mheda.org/distributor-statistical-comparison-dsc-report/. For questions or assistance, please contact Kathy Cotter at kcotter@mheda.org or (847) 481-6108.
