2024 Emerging Leaders Conference Recap
August 2, 2024Duration: 01:52
MHEDA, MHI and WERC welcomed Members from across the country on July 25, 2024 in Chicago for the Emerging Leaders Conference. This year’s theme, “Common Ground Leadership” focused on providing attendees with practical tools and takeaways to improve business relationships.
The event kicked out with an interactive and fun networking dinner at Gibsons Steakhouse. Attendees enjoyed getting to know one another and experiencing an engaging presentation by mentalist Christopher Carter. The Conference keynote was presented by generational expert Meagan Johnson, who shared insights on how to “Zap the Generation Gap.” Attendees then learned from leadership expert Jason Lauritsen who presented a session on how to “Lead with Relationship.” Former American Ninja Warrior Alex Weber served as the closing speaker and shared his story of how he was able to overcome challenges on his journey from show host to competitor. As part of the day’s events, visual artist Katya Balakina created artwork to capture the key takeaways.
Beyond the speakers, attendees participated in several networking sessions, including roundtable discussions on industry trends, a give back activity packing food for Blessings in a Backpack and then ended the day with a fun happy hour reception on a Chicago rooftop.
