MHEDA Foundation Scholarship Fund

The material handling industry is proud to support the next generation of professionals by offering scholarships for students pursuing careers in the industry.

About the Fund

MHEDA is committed to building a strong future for the material handling industry by investing in education and workforce development. Former CEO of MHEDA, Liz Richards, dedicated much of her 28-year career to growing awareness and recognition of the material handling industry within the academic community. Liz worked tirelessly to ensure our industry is a draw for top talent to sustain and strengthen material handling businesses for the future.

Through our scholarship funds, we help remove barriers to education, strengthen the workforce, and secure the future of material handling, ensuring a steady pipeline of skilled and passionate professionals. Our support includes both two-year technical programs and four-year university scholarships, offering multiple pathways for students to pursue rewarding careers in the industry.

How it Works

The MHEDA Foundation Scholarship Fund is awarded to students through qualified technical schools and 4-year universities accredited by the Council for Higher Education. Scholarship funds are distributed to partner schools, with each institution following Foundation-guided criteria to select recipients that are enrolled in a target program. The Foundation tracks student outcomes—including credential completion, job placement and long-term career progress to ensure measurable impact.
