MHEDA Mourns David Rizzo, President of AJ Jersey, Inc.

David Rizzo

In Loving Memory

David J. Rizzo, 62, of Westfield, NJ, passed away peacefully at his home in Westfield on Sunday, May 18, 2025. Previous to Westfield, David resided in Freehold and Colts Neck, NJ.

Born in Brooklyn, NY, to Patrick and Marion Rizzo, David spent his early years in the city before moving to Westfield at the age of 13. He graduated from Westfield High School and later earned a Bachelor of Science in Business from Seton Hall University.

David was the proud President and Co-Owner of AJ Jersey, Inc. in South Plainfield, where he devoted his career to leading the company with passion, integrity, and vision. His work was a source of pride and purpose, and his leadership left a lasting mark on all who worked with him.

Outside of work, David was an avid sports fan, especially devoted to the New York Mets and the Pittsburgh Steelers. He also had a deep love for collecting-most notably classic cars and sports memorabilia. He enjoyed attending car shows, where he could share his passion with others and connect with fellow enthusiasts.

David is survived by his loving wife, Ana Paula Rios; his son, Nicholas Rizzo; his mother, Marion Rizzo; his brothers, Steven Rizzo (and his wife, Anne) and Joseph Rizzo; and by numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be at Dooley Colonial Home, 556 Westfield Ave., Westfield on Wednesday, May 21st from 4-8PM. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Helen’s Roman Catholic Church, 1600 Rahway Ave., Westfield, on Thursday, May 22nd at 11:30AM. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Westfield. In lieu of flowers, donations in David’s memory may be made to The Embrace Kids Foundation (www.embracekids.org).
