Valley Industrial Trucks Helps Spread Breast Cancer Awareness

Valley Industrial Trucks (VIT) supplied a new lift truck to customer Humtown Products with a special color and message. This truck was painted pink to call attention to survivors as well as remember those lost to breast cancer. The sides of the truck also have the names of family members of Humtown employees who have survived and in memory of those who have died.

Jim Hammond, president of VIT, says they had an employee pass away from breast cancer so the cause is very special for the company. VIT adopted the pink truck program 10 years ago to help raise awareness and makes an annual donation to the Joanie Abdu Comprehensive Breast Care Center at Mercy Health St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital.
