Riekes Equipment Donates New Electric Forklift To University Program

OMAHA, NE (October 2021) – Riekes Equipment announces its donation of a new electric forklift, battery and charger to the University of Nebraska at Kearney’s Industrial Distribution program. The new equipment is not only useful to the program, but helps give the next generation of industry professionals real-world experience in material handling and logistics.

Riekes has been a long-time partner with the UNK ID program and have provided its students with opportunities to learn, develop skills and network, so that the industry as a whole benefits from their experiences in the years to come.

The skills shortage afflicting the material handling industry is becoming a serious issue, so it’s great to see two organizations working together to address the imbalance with forward-thinking initiatives like the Industrial Distribution program and this kind of donation.

Riekes is honored to support this program because of the tremendous positive impact it has on the future of the material handling industry. It is also a reflection of Riekes’ commitment to being a trusted partner in the area we call home.
