Dear Friends of Navitas Systems,
Over the past few weeks, all of our associates at Navitas Systems have done our absolute best to balance individual safety with maintaining important company operations.
As you may be aware, this past Monday, Michigan Governor Whitmer issued Executive Order 2020-21, directing all Michigan businesses and operations to temporarily suspend in-person operations that are not necessary to sustain or protect life, for a period of three weeks.
We realize this is a fluid situation and we are continually reviewing and adjusting our plans accordingly. We are fortunate as a company to have prepared both of our Ann Arbor-based Government and Commercial businesses to weather this disruption:
• Pre-bought significant stock of both commercial cells for our lithium forklift batteries as well as battery-making materials for our government battery programs.
• Enhanced our networking capabilities to enable our associates–R&D team, product engineers, sales, field service, and accounting–to productively continue work from home.
• Accelerated manufacturing of our lithium forklift batteries to build a robust inventory for our customers.
• Prioritized the availability and shipping of our inventory of lithium forklift batteries, as well as field service support resources, to important industry segments such as in the pharmaceutical, food, paper, E-Commerce, and logistics segments.
We’re going through tough times for sure right now. But working together we will get through this crisis. We stand ready to support your business in spite of this difficult period.
