Here’s the Scoop when a forklift won’t work?

There are many items that are not forklift friendly.  These items maybe very long, or tall or narrow or a combination of all three like a triple window unit.  They may also be heavy un-palletized items like a staircase, hutch, curio, refrigerator or other large boxed items.

Moving them with a forklift involves picking them up to get onto the forks and someone to stabilize them on the forks so they don’t fall during transport.  If an item is not too wide and a hand truck can be used like a refrigerator, the operator is forced to balance the item which could result in injury to the operator or damage to the product should this balancing act fail.

Here is the Scoop to solve these problems…. Literally the Scoop Dolly.

The Scoop Dolly was developed by a vertical panel saw manufacture called Saw Trax to move their 10.5 ft. long, 7 ft. tall, 1 ft. wide crates containing their 500 lb. panel saws with one person.

When introduced to the mill work and staircase markets, it took off like a rocket.  With the addition of the foot leverage bar, it safely serves the appliance and furniture market.

The Scoop Dolly functions like a hand truck on a dolly.  It has 4 supported tilt angles (5 with the leverage step).  The idea is the item is tilted back onto the supports and moved in any direction using the casters on the base.   E-Track straps can be used on the vertical posts to support the item during the initial pick up or drop off so it doesn’t slam to the ground as is common with hand trucks.  Other popular options are dock transition wheels to transport items into trucks, a directional wheel to be able to push an item over long distances and a brake system to ensure the load does not wander when parked.
