Eastern Lift Truck Co., Inc. has been named Presenter of the 2019 Valley Youth House Golf Tournament, which will be held at the Union League Golf Club at Torresdale, in Philadelphia, PA on September 23, 2019.
The company is partnering with Citizens Bank, Holt Logistics, Quaker Chemical Corp., NFI Industries, The Philadelphia Phillies and other community-minded businesses to bring awareness and funding to the growing issue of youth homelessness in Philadelphia. Sadly, Valley Youth House estimates more than 7,000 young people in Philadelphia, will experience homelessness in the next year.
Valley Youth House began in 1973, as a single shelter in Pennsylvania’s Lehigh Valley. It has since grown to more than 250 residential sites, working to ensure that vulnerable, abused and homeless young people have access to shelter and counseling.
Eastern Lift Truck Co., Inc. was founded in 1971 and has 15 facilities throughout the Mid-Atlantic region. Each branch encourages its employees to take an active role in the community where they live. President, Dan Pruitt remarked, “There’s more to life than just forklifts, it’s about giving back to the community too.”
