More than 450 distributors, manufacturers and spouses joined MHEDA at the 2021 Annual Convention and Exhibitor Showcase in Austin, Texas. It was a memorable event and gave attendees the opportunity to meet in person with business colleagues, enjoy unlimited networking opportunities and participate in many education sessions. This year’s Convention theme was all about Agility. Attendees learned how to move fast, think big and carefully maneuver the roadblocks that come your way.
The keynote speaker, Brant Menswar, spoke on Building Adaptability: Bridging The Gap To High Performance. Participants learned how to build bridges between personal and organizational values through a specific framework for action. This presentation provided a clear path to better self-awareness, unique contribution, stronger adaptability and extraordinary performance.
Other highlights of the Convention included presentations by Brian Beaulieu from ITR Economics, who discussed the Economic Challenges and Changes Through 2022. He untangled the trends and examined a numbers-driven look at what’s ahead. Speed Networking Roundtable Discussions on Thursday covered the 2021 Material Handling Trends and gave attendees an opportunity to share their perspective and experience on a variety of current industry issues.
New this year was the 30 minute MHEDA Talks. A series of mini-sessions designed to help you think about how to better manage your material handling business and team.
A fun time was had by all at the Opening Party at Micheladas Café y Cantina, a fun Mexican restaurant located in the heart of Austin.
