Program Description

SPEAKER: SHERRI WILSON

Disasters cannot be avoided, and they can wreak havoc on a business. A disaster recovery plan can help mitigate the damage and losses. A Disaster Preparation plan is a documented program designed to help businesses prepare for and recover from any event that may disrupt operations.

Disasters can include anything from natural disasters like floods and fires to supplier outages. Planning for these disasters will help to ensure that:

  • Resources are managed correctly
  • Contact list are available
  • Information is secure and available
  • A logical sequence of activities is executed
  • Emergency response and recovery workers are protected

During this session, Sherrie will identify potential hazards, discuss what steps can be taken to mitigate the damage and she will outline some key components of a Disaster Preparation Plan.

This session will benefit top to bottom managers in any organization.
