PRESENTATIONS

Dirk von Holt

Customer Experience
Presented by Dirk von Holt, President, TVH

After a number of acquisitions, it became necessary for TVH Parts to embark on the path of actively managing the Customer Experience 15 years ago. Different processes, sometimes in the same department spread over different locations, made for a very inconsistent customer experience and is the number one reason for unhappy customers. Research has shown that companies, who consistently deliver a positive customer experience across all points of contact with the customer, maintain customer loyalty, build stronger brands, and are better to avoid competing on price alone.

Takeaways:

  • Understanding the Customer Experience
  • Touchpoints
  • Engaging the Employee
  • How to Start

About the Speaker: Having worked his entire career in Material Handling, Dirk von Holt is a true veteran of our industry. He started his career running a forklift dealership in Scandinavia managing a walkie and pallet truck manufacturing company in New York and Virginia. He then moved on to start a wholesale operation for a large German manufacturer in the US. In the later part of his career, he was an executive for TVH Parts, all of which provided him a solid understanding of the overall customer dynamics in our industry. He guided the TVH organization through the implementation and then the continuation of an active customer experience management leading to high CES (Customer Effort) and NPS (Net Promoter) scores. Dirk & TVH has been a long-time member of MHEDA. Dirk also served as President of ITA in 2004-05.

Employee Experience Presentation “Now That I’ve Got Them, How Do I Keep Them?”
Presented by Don Phin

Employee turnover is extremely costly and a major challenge facing our industry. The program will provide strategies and tools to help you keep your valuable employees. Remember this: every HR problem becomes a sales problem.

Takeaways:

  • Statistics relating to turnover
  • Why people leave
  • The true costs of turnover
  • Strategies for reducing turnover
  • The cost/ease/impact formula

About the Speaker: Don Phin has been a California based employment lawyer and entrepreneur. After 17 years in litigation, he began a consulting career that evolved to creating one of the first online HR Programs, HRThatWorks, used by 3,500 companies and sold to ThinkHR in 2014. He has self-published seven books, the most recent being the 40/ /40 Solution to Managing the Emotional Energy of Leadership and Sales. Don is a top trainer for LinkedIn with his programs having been viewed world-wide more than 350,000 times. He has spoken to more than 6,000 CEO’s through the Vistage organization.
