Presented by Nick Francia, partner of The Capital ESOP Group

This presentation will cover the basics of ESOPs. It will serve as an introduction for those who are new to the topic, or as a refresher for those who are already familiar with ESOPs.

Nick Francia, a nationally-recognized speaker on the topic of ESOPs, will start with an overview of the different internal and external options that a business owner has to sell or transition their privately-held business. From there, he will delve further into the basics of ESOPs, starting with what an ESOP is at its core and ending with the impact an ESOP can have on a company, its owner, and its employees at the same time.

  • What is an ESOP, and how does it compare to other options for selling a business?
  • How can an ESOP benefit companies, owners, and employees?
  • What kinds of companies are eligible to create an ESOP?
  • What are the different ways an ESOP can be structured to achieve the unique goals of the owner or company?
