He spent ten years as Executive Creative Director at LOIS Chicago, where he managed a department of thirty-six writers, art directors and productions people.

Mickey has taught at Northwestern University, The Stuart Graduate School of Business at Illinois Institute of Technology and at Roosevelt University. He holds a BA in Journalism from Nebraska and an MS in Marketing Communications from the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana.
