Welcome to your Gateway to Student Careers in the Material Handling Industry!

The purpose of this site is to provide a bridge or "gateway" between students looking for a career within the material handling industry and industry professionals who are seeking students ready for employment or internships. This Gateway site has many features designed specifically for Students, Academic Advisors and Industry Professionals and provides students visibility among hundreds of Material Handling companies who are seeking new talent.

• Students can post resumes and indicate their interest in employment, Cooperative Opportunities and/or Internships. Hundreds of Material Handling companies will have access to these resumes. Learn more about the exciting, rewarding and lucrative careers within the material handling industry as well as typical compensation levels as reported in MHEDA’s bi-annual survey. Find out more about the industry and how material handling is the enabling technology for supply chain management. Search for industry companies who are offering internships and cooperative job opportunities.

•  Academic Advisors have access to a variety of teaching materials including a Multimedia Bank containing a collection of photos and videos showing various types of material handling equipment, systems, and interfaces. Classroom tools, teaching materials and case studies are also available. Advisors and Students can access and subscribe to various publications including The MHEDA Journal (quarterly magazine), The MHEDA Connection (semi-monthly e-newsletter) and MHEDA Edge (online monthly webzine) designed specifically for young executives and students.

• Industry Professional Members are encouraged to search the Resume Bank to find students looking for employment, internships and cooperative opportunities. Not sure about how to structure an internship? See the tutorial and articles on internships and co-op’s. Connect with your local schools and universities by presenting guest lectures or hosting customer site visits for students.
